Domaine du Rieu Frais is located in Drôme provençale in the heart of the regional parc of Baronnies Provençales (IGP Coteaux des baronnies). Alexandre Liotaud - 3rd generation - makes only organic wines thanks to a unique microclimate (Mediterranean and alpine influence). The vineyard is located between 420 and 600 meters above sea level, where diversity is a key word (more than eight varietals grow on the property!).

Alexandre only uses natural products to protect the vineyard, like biodegradable Sulphur or different types of plants (tisane, infusion). Between the vines has a natural grass covering for 8 months of the year, helping creating a biodiversity and limit erosion of the soil. Mother nature is a priority at Domaine du Rieu Frais and that’s why the vineyard has been organic certified since 2007!
