White Wine - Chablis

Domaine Jean Collet & Fils Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru 2018 - $49.00 (CLASSICS #650804)
"Notions of moss and green pear peel are bound up in an aromatic citrus-oil richness on this wine's expressive nose. The palate comes in with the expected concentration. This wine is energetic, yet anchored in cool depths of limestone and chalk. It has a salty tang and the allure of textured pear peel and citrus pith. Layers of fruit and stone play off each other, leaving us to witness and sense the pleasure. Drink by 2040. Cellar Selection."

White Wine - Burgundy

Jean Féry & Fils Pernand-Vergelesses 2018 - $48.00 (CLASSICS# 22859)
"Though quite warm, Burgundy's 2018 vintage has produced white wines '... with surprisingly zingy acidities that impart more tension than anticipated, far fewer obvious tropical notes and far greater articulation of individual terroirs ..."
Neal Martin, vinous.com, Jan. 9, 2020
"... bright Chardonnays with energetic freshness and alluring fruit ..."

Red Wine - Côtes du Rhône

Clos des Saumanes Gadagne 2016 - $17.95 (VINTAGES# 20948)
"The assemblage in the 2016 Cotes du Rhone Villages Gadagne is 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Mourvèdre. Aged in tank, this full-bodied beauty starts with hints of struck match and asphalt, then eases into vibrant black cherries and orange zest. It's a touch warm but creamy on the mid-palate, then velvety on the long, lively finish. Drink date: 2018-2022."

Score - 89-91, Joe Czerwinski, robertparker.com, Nov. 30, 2018
