Le Vieux Pin Petit Blanc 2023

Green Citrus fruit, gooseberries, currants and a touch of tropical fruits greet you on the nose. While orchard fruits are tasted on the mid-palate, the finish and the core of this wine have citrus, stone fruit and tropical fruits all wrapped perfectly in balance together. 2023 was a warmer growing season coupled with much smaller yields and as such the resulting wine is richer, rounder and more exuberant than the previous vintage of 2022 with its cool growing season.

Le Vieux Pin Cuvée Retouche 2020

Retouche pays homage to the historical practice of “Hermitaging” wines in Bordeaux during the 1800s. Winemakers in Bordeaux added Syrah (often from the famous vineyards in Hermitage) to their wines to add warmth, roundness, and comfort-characters sometimes missing from the structured, powerful Bordeaux Blends in general.

La Sophia is our small lot 100% Cabernet Sauvignon bottling. Akin to the great examples of Cabernet Sauvignon from the coastal areas of Tuscany: Maremma and Bolgheri. Similarly, La Sophia draws a comparison to the great cabernets from Washington State rather than the plusher and fatter examples from Napa Valley.
